About Abeno Harukas Art Museum

The museum is located in Abeno Harukas, which stands in Abeno Ward, Osaka City. It was opened in 2014 on the 16th floor of the skyscraper as an urban art museum capable of exhibiting national treasures and important cultural properties. With the concept of "all kinds of art for all people," the museum aims to be an art museum where everyone can easily experience and enjoy art and culture, which is appropriate for its location at the terminal stations of Abeno and Tennoji, Osaka.

The museum does not have a permanent collection, but hosts a wide variety of exhibitions ranging from cultural assets along the Kintetsu line to Japanese and Oriental art, Western art, and contemporary art. The museum is open until 8:00 p.m. Tuesday through Friday, another attraction of an urban art museum that is easily accessible to visitors on their way home from work.

Abeno Harukas Art Museum holds special exhibitions in a variety of genres. Four to five special exhibitions are held each year, covering a wide variety of genres from Western art to Japanese and Oriental art, and contemporary art.

Museum Shop

At the "Museum Shop" attached to the museum, visitors can ask for catalogs, art-related books, and original goods for special exhibitions currently being held. There is also a unique gacha-gacha (toy toy toy) collection related to special exhibitions, art, and Osaka. The Museum Shop can be entered without a ticket for the exhibition.

Abeno Harukas 300 (observatory)

Harukas 300 (" observatory") is the observation deck of Abeno Harukas, a 300-meter-tall building, and is characterized by its three-story structure on the 58th, 59th, and 60th floors. The 60th floor, the arrival floor, is an indoor corridor with foot-to-ceiling glass covering 360 degrees from east to west, north to south, and south, giving visitors the feeling of walking in the air. When weather conditions are favorable, you can enjoy a panoramic view of Kyoto, the Rokko Mountains, the Akashi Kaikyo Bridge, Awaji Island, the Ikoma Mountains, all the way to Kansai International Airport.

Gallery Saikai (Reunion)

Gallery Saikai (Reunion) is a southern European-style building located not far from Tsutenkaku Tower. Designed by architect ISHII Osamu (1922-2007), it was built in 1953 as the "Reunion" cafe and is designated as a Tangible Cultural Property of Japan.
