"The SODOH HIGASHIYAMA KYOTO" is an Italian restaurant located at the foot of Yasaka-no-to (Yasaka Pagoda) (Hokanji Temple), a scenic Kyoto landmark. The restaurant is housed in a renovated Japanese house that was the private residence of TAKEUCHI Seiho, one of the most famous Japanese-style painters of the Kyoto art world. 5 venues of various sizes are scattered around the 1,700 tsubo site, each offering atmospheric views and a wide variety of uses, including restaurants, weddings and corporate parties.

The restaurant offers a particular cuisine based on traditional Italian cuisine, combining Kyoto's local ingredients with the cuisine's zeitgeist and seasonality.
