"teamLab Botanical Garden Osaka", opened on 29 July 2022, is a permanent night-time open-air museum in the Nagai Botanical Gardens in Osaka City. The 240,000-square-meter botanical garden is transformed into a fantastic art space after sunset. In a space overgrown with some 1,200 plant species, visitors are captivated by artworks in which "nature becomes art in its natural state" through the use of immaterial digital technology.
The museum is the creation of art collective teamLab, which uses the latest technology to provide an interactive space where nature and art merge.

The Nagai Botanical Garden, the setting for ‘teamLab Botanical Garden Osaka’, is an outdoor botanical garden that opened in 1974. It is located in Nagai Park, which opened in 1944 as a comprehensive park with a baseball field and other facilities. The Nagai Botanical Garden covers an area of approximately 240,000 m2 and has a large pond in the centre, where visitors can enjoy watching the flowers and trees change with the seasons.
Fifty years have passed since the park opened and it is now home to many wild birds, including goshawks and owls.
